He also led projects on 'Electric Demand Forecasting' and 'Dengue Fever Spread Forecasting' in collaboration with national entities. | Dr. Mehmood specialization revolves around the production of biofuels and bioenergy derived from non-edible vegetable oils, agricultural residues, waste cooking oils, and microalgal lipids. He has significant expertise in conducting emission testing and analyzing engine performance for blended biodiesel and bioethanol fuels. Additionally, he has hands-on experience in applying solar drying methods to enhance the generation of bioenergy from agricultural residues. He possess proficiency in the design of solar dryers for agricultural waste and microalgae photobioreactor cultivation systems, designing batch scale biodiesel production unit and biomass gasifiers. Furthermore, his research background includes investigating various thermochemical conversion processes for biomass, including hydrothermal liquefaction, combustion, pyrolysis, and gasification for biofuel production. I am adept at utilizing thermogravimetry (TGA), such as differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and differential thermal analysis (DTA), as well as employing analytical tools like Raman spectroscopy, fluorescence microscopy, and gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC-MS). |
